Different leaves from white to black require different water temperatures for steeping to extract the optimum flavor. With the Digital Tea Thermometer you can check the water temperature to make sure it is at the right level, whether it's Fahrenheit or Celsius. The thermometer comes pre-programmed with settings for white, green, red and black tea, and for different brewing strengths so each cup will be steeped to perfection at the right temperature. A built-in timer makes it possible to steep the leaves for the proper length of time as well, which is just as important as obtaining the proper water temperature.
